CUI Mingyang

CUI Mingyang is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Biomedical Manufacturing and Life Quality Engineering, School of Mechanical Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research interests include microfluidics, micro- and nanofabrication, biophysics of active matter, precise manipulation of biomolecules, and bioprocessing in cell/gene therapy. CUI holds a Ph.D. from Washington University in St. Louis and has contributed to several publications in prestigious journals such as Small, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, and Lab on a Chip. He is currently recruiting PhD and Master's students for Fall 2026.

Mingyang Cui is an Associate Professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, specializing in Microfluidics, Biophysics, and Gene therapy. His research focuses on developing acoustofluidic platforms for advanced biomedical applications, including single-cell manipulation, molecular synthesis, and immunoassays. Cui's work explores the interaction between acoustic fields and microswimmers, aiming to enhance the understanding of ciliary coordination and cell motility. His publications highlight innovations in acoustic trapping, particle enrichment, and sustainable bioprocessing techniques, such as regeneration of spent culture media for monoclonal antibody production. These studies contribute to the advancement of microfluidic technologies for high-resolution biological analysis and therapeutic applications.
