Regular biography
CHEN Ming is a Faculty member in the School of Mechanical Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research interests include sustainable manufacturing, sustainable design, robotic disassembly, automation in remanufacturing, reuse, and recycling. He has conducted extensive research on end-of-life vehicle dismantling, shredding, sorting, and recycling technologies. CHEN has led several research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National High Technology Research and Development Program, and the Shanghai Science and Technology Development Fund. His work has been published in numerous journals, including Waste Management, Journal of Cleaner Production, and JOM. He teaches undergraduate courses on Mechanical Design Basis and graduate courses on Tribology and Lubrication Theory.
