CHEN Dongyu is an Assistant Professor in the School of Mechanical Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research interests include thermal storage systems, cyber-attack and defensive strategies in energy systems, smart buildings with thermal management, two-phase and phase-change heat transfer, advanced Bayesian networks, and the Lattice Boltzmann method. CHEN obtained his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland (2016-2022), followed by a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan (2014-2015), and a B.S. in Energy, Power System, and Automation from Xi'an Jiao Tong University (2010-2014). He previously served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Central Florida (2022-2024).
