ZHANG Jian
Regular biography
Dr. Jian Zhang is a Tenured Associate Professor of Computer Science and Assistant Dean at the School of Electronic and Computer Engineering, Peking University. He leads the Visual-Information Intelligent Learning LAB (VILLA) and his research interests include intelligent multimedia processing, visual reconstruction and generation, and AI-generated content (AIGC) security. He has published over 120 technical articles in refereed international journals and proceedings, with more than 14,000 citations. In teaching, he won the first prize in the 23rd Young Teachers’ Teaching Basic Skills Competition at Peking University. In research, he has received several Best Paper Awards, including the 2011 Best Paper Award of IEEE International Conference on Visual Communication and Image Processing (VCIP) and the 2023 China Artificial Intelligence Society-Huawei MindSpore Academic Award Fund Project Excellence Award. He is also involved in various academic societies and editorial boards.
