WANG Ronggang

WANG Ronggang is a professor at the School of Electronic and Computer Engineering, Peking University. His research focuses on video encoding, virtual reality, and image enhancement. He has undertaken significant research projects, including key national programs and international standards development. WANG has contributed to the development of China's UHD video coding standard and led the creation of an interactive free-view viewing system used in the 2022 Beijing Winter Paralympics. He is also involved in IEEE and ISO/IEC standards committees, including as the IEEE 1857.9 standard team leader and AVS working group member.
