Regular biography
Yoed Rabin is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. He joined the university in 1994 and has held academic positions at various institutions, including the Technion—Israel Institute of Technology. Rabin's research interests include energy modalities in biology and medicine, such as cryopreservation, cryosurgery, hyperthermia, and thermal regulation. He leads the Biothermal Technology Laboratory, focusing on the development of sensors, instrumentation, and computational modeling for medical applications. His work has received funding from the National Institutes of Health and has been featured in various media outlets.
