Mohadeseh Taheri-Mousavi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. She joined CMU in September 2022 after serving as a postdoctoral associate at MIT and a postdoctoral fellow at Brown University. Taheri-Mousavi holds a Ph.D. from EPFL, Switzerland, and her B.Sc. and M.Sc. from Sharif University of Technology, Iran. Her research focuses on structural alloys and material sustainability, with an emphasis on advanced materials processing and manufacturing, industrial decarbonization and efficiency, materials characterization, and materials computation and informatics. Her work has been supported by various funding sources, including grants from the Naval Nuclear Laboratory, NASA STRI, DARPA, NSF DMREF, and Army Research Laboratory.
