Regular biography
Burak Ozdoganlar is the Ver Planck endowed chair professor of Mechanical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University and associate director of the Engineering Research Accelerator. He holds courtesy faculty positions in Biomedical Engineering and Materials Science and Engineering. His research interests include modeling and experimentation of manufacturing processes and systems, with a focus on multi-scale manufacturing and its applications in medical and biomedical device fabrication, precision engineering, and structural dynamics. Ozdoganlar has co-authored over 90 archival journal articles and more than 110 conference papers. He is a Fellow of ASME and has been active in professional societies such as the International Institution of Micro Manufacturing (I2M2).
