Professor Janet Lees is a Professor in Civil Engineering at the University of Cambridge, affiliated with the Department of Civil Engineering. Her research focuses on structures, the use of new materials in construction, sustainable concrete, and civil engineering. She leads the Concrete Infrastructure Research Group (CIRG) and is involved in projects related to reinforced concrete and advanced materials. Professor Lees is also the Head of the Structures Research Group at Cambridge and a Director of the University of Cambridge EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Future Infrastructure and Built Environment. She is a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers and a Fellow of St John's College.
