Professor Dongfang Liang

Professor Dongfang Liang is a Professor of Hydrodynamics in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Cambridge. His research interests include hydrodynamics, water engineering, hydro-environment, sediment transport, water/soil/structure interactions, and flood risk management. He has developed mesh-based and meshfree computational models and has expertise in photogrammetry and digital image processing for hydraulic engineering. Prof Liang is the chairman of the local organising committee for the MPM2019 Conference and has been sponsored by the Cambridge Centre for Smart Infrastructure and Construction and Trimble Fund. He lectures Water Engineering and Engineering Surveying and is a Fellow and Director of Studies at Churchill College. He also serves as a co-chair of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) Cambridgeshire Branch and is an associate editor of several journals.
