Sarah Tishkoff is a Professor in the Department of Biology at the University of Pennsylvania. Her research focuses on African integrative evolutionary genomics, combining fieldwork, laboratory work, and computational approaches to study modern human evolutionary history and the genetic architecture of traits related to adaptation and disease risk in Africa. She is also interested in the genetic basis of resistance to infectious diseases and the genetic basis of adaptation in humans.
