Lawrence Rome is a Professor of Biology at the University of Pennsylvania, affiliated with the Department of Biology. His research focuses on the design and function of muscular systems for locomotion and sound production, with an emphasis on the effects of temperature on motor performance. His work integrates molecular biophysics and whole-animal biomechanics, using models such as fish and frogs to study muscle function.
