Chihiro Shimizu

Chihiro Shimizu is a Visiting Professor at the Vancouver School of Economics, University of British Columbia. His research and teaching focus on big data analysis of price measurement, consumer price indices, property price indices, and real estate economics. He is also a Professor at the School of Social Data Science and Director of the Centre for Urban and Real Estate Studies at Hitotsubashi University. Shimizu received his Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo and has co-authored extensively with Erwin Diewert.
