Michael Peters is a Professor Emeritus in the Vancouver School of Economics at The University of British Columbia. His research interests lie in micro theory, particularly the theory of competing mechanisms and the theory of directed search. He obtained his Ph.D. from Queens University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Peters is affiliated with the Econometric Society as a Fellow and serves as an Associate editor for the Journal of Economic Theory and Theoretical Economics. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for Econjobmarket. His personal website provides access to his publications and current research.
