Ratna Shrestha

Ratna Shrestha is an Assistant Professor at The University of British Columbia, Department of ECON. She lectures at the Vancouver School of Economics and Sauder School of Business. Before joining UBC, she was an Assistant Professor at Memorial University of Newfoundland and Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu. Shrestha holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Hawaii, Manoa. Her research interests include Environmental/Resource Economics, Public Finance, and Healthcare Policy. She teaches a graduate course in Managerial Economics and various undergraduate courses at UBC. Originally from Bandipur, Nepal, she is involved in Nepali community activities in the Vancouver area and the U.S.
