David Goldhaber-Gordon is the TG Wijaya Professor of Physics and Professor, by courtesy, of Applied Physics at Stanford University. His research focuses on Experimental Condensed Matter Physics. Goldhaber-Gordon earned his AB in Physics and AM in History of Science from Harvard University in 1994, and his Ph.D. in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1999. During his Ph.D., he made the first demonstration of the Kondo effect in a semiconductor nanostructure. He has also published influential work on nanoelectronic devices. Following his Ph.D., he joined the faculty at Stanford University. His research has been recognized with several awards, including the George E. Valley Prize and the McMillan Award.
