Blas Cabrera

Blas Cabrera is the Stanley G. Wojcicki Professor, Emeritus, in the Physics Department at Stanford University. His research focuses on Experimental and Observational Astrophysics and Cosmology. He has served as Spokesperson for the SuperCDMS (Cryogenic Dark Matter Search) collaboration, which conducted experiments in the Soudan mine to search for dark matter in the form of weakly interacting massive particles. His work has led to significant advancements in detector technology and sensitivity for dark matter detection. He was also Project Director for the SuperCDMS SNOLAB experiment, which aims to explore low mass WIMPs using advanced cryogenic detectors.
