Eric Darve is the Director of the Institute for Computational and Mathematical Engineering (ICME) and a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University. His research interests include machine learning for science and engineering, large-language models, transformer models, surrogate and reduced order modeling, stochastic inversion, anomaly detection, numerical linear algebra, high-performance, parallel, and GPU computing. Darve received his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Paris VI University, Paris, France, and joined Stanford University in 2001 after postdoctoral work at Stanford and NASA Ames.
