Christine Jacobs-Wagner

Christine Jacobs-Wagner is a Lecturer in the Department of Biology at Stanford University. Her research focuses on bacterial cell replication from general principles and mechanisms to Lyme disease. She is affiliated with the ChEM-H Institute at Stanford. Jacobs-Wagner's work explores the fundamental mechanisms by which bacterial cells replicate, using Caulobacter crescentus and Escherichia coli as models. Her lab has expanded its interests to include the Lyme disease agent Borrelia burgdorferi, revealing new insights into how this pathogen grows and causes disease. She is currently based at Stanford University, where she continues her research in bacterial cell biology.
