Jaswinder Pal Singh is a Professor of Computer Science at Princeton University, affiliated with the Department of Computer Science. His research focuses on parallel computing systems and their implications for software and architectural design. He is a co-director of the Princeton Center for the Decentralization of Power Through Blockchain Technology (DeCenter) and holds the inaugural Professor of Computer Science, Technology, and Societal Change title. Singh joined the computer science department in 1995 after earning his Ph.D. from Stanford University in 1993 and a bachelor's degree from Princeton. He is a co-author of the textbook 'Parallel Computer Architecture: A Hardware/Software Approach' and has authored several patents. He has also served as a consultant to Intel, Microsoft, and the U.S. Government and founded two companies.
