Ravi D. Nath is an incoming Assistant Professor in the Department of Molecular Biology and the Lewis-Sigler Institute for Integrative Genomics at Princeton University, beginning July 2026. His research focuses on resilience to disease and aging, utilizing the African turquoise killifish as a model organism. Nath began his scientific training at Vanderbilt University, graduating with honors in Molecular & Cellular Biology in 2012. He earned his Ph.D. in Biology from the California Institute of Technology, where he studied the evolutionary origins and genetic regulation of sleep, and completed postdoctoral training at Stanford University, investigating how brain function regulates systemic aging. His laboratory uses functional genetic screens to discover factors that promote longevity and disease resilience.
