Regular biography
Aleks Kissinger is a Professor of Computer Science (Quantum Computing) at the University of Oxford's Department of Computer Science. His research focuses on quantum software, including quantum compilation, fault-tolerant quantum computing, and classical simulation of quantum computations. He is known for his work on diagrammatic and graph-theoretic approaches to quantum systems and has co-authored two textbooks: 'Picturing Quantum Processes' and 'Picturing Quantum Software'. His research also involves the development of tools like PyZX and Chyp, which are used for quantum circuit manipulation and theorem proving. He teaches courses based on his books and is actively involved in research and academic activities within the Quantum Group at Oxford.
