Kirsten Sadler Edepli is an Associate Professor of Biology at New York University Abu Dhabi. She holds the title of Global Network Professor of Biology and is affiliated with the Biology department. Her research interests include liver regeneration, epigenetics, ER stress, cancer, fatty liver, zebrafish, and mice. She has pioneered the use of zebrafish as a model for studying development, disease, and regeneration. Edepli received a BA from Mount Holyoke College, a Masters in Medical Sciences from Harvard Medical School, a PhD in Cell and Developmental Biology from Harvard University, and completed post-doctoral training at MIT. She has served on the faculty of Bosphorus University in Istanbul, Türkiye, and The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York. Currently, she is a passionate advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education at NYU Abu Dhabi.
