Regular biography
Xiuzhen Suzanne Chen is an Assistant Professor of Biology at New York University, affiliated with the BIO department. Her research interests include mRNP assembly, mRNA packaging, cell biology, cellular compartmentalization, and RNA binding proteins in neurodevelopment and neurodegeneration. She holds a Ph.D. from ETH Zürich, Switzerland, and previously earned an M.S. from the National Institute of Biological Sciences, China, and a B.S. from Zhejiang University, China. Her work focuses on developmental genetics, molecular & cellular biology, biophysics, and quantitative biology. She can be contacted via email at xc2918@nyu.edu or through her personal website.
