Regular biography
Richard Schaller is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Northwestern University. His research focuses on the effects of quantum confinement on matter, utilizing ultrafast transient absorption and emission techniques. His work explores the basic science of single exciton relaxation and the generation and fate of multiple electron hole pairs. Schaller holds a Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.A./M.S. from Northwestern University. He is affiliated with the Tech K114 Program, where his assistant is Ruth Barrera.
