Shana Kelley is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Northwestern University. Her research focuses on the development of biomolecular sensors, phenotypic screening platforms, and molecular delivery vectors using multidisciplinary approaches. She employs cutting-edge techniques such as CRISPR screening and cellular engineering to advance biomedicine. Kelley is affiliated with several institutes, including the Chemistry of Life Processes Institute and the Lurie Cancer Center. Her group has generated over 200 publications and started three companies based on technologies developed in the group. She is also the President of the Chan Zuckerberg Biohub Chicago and holds the Neena B. Schwartz Professorship of Chemistry and Biomedical Engineering.
