Lisa A. Steiner is a Professor of Immunology Emerita in the Department of Biology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her research focused on the structural variation of antibodies across vertebrate species, examining differences in polypeptide chains and disulfide bridging. She analyzed the zebrafish genome to study white blood cell function in the immune system. Steiner's work has contributed to understanding antibody diversity and its evolutionary implications. She is no longer accepting students. Her publications include studies on zebrafish rag genes and immunoglobulin disulfide bridges.
