Uttam RajBhandary is a Professor Emeritus in the Department of Biology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research focused on RNA-protein interactions, particularly in the context of gene expression and regulation. He investigated tRNA structure, function, and biosynthesis using biochemical, genetic, and in vivo methods. RajBhandary is no longer accepting students. He has contributed to significant publications in molecular biology, including studies on tRNA modifications and gene regulation mechanisms.
