Jonathan A. King

Jonathan A. King is a Professor Emeritus in the Department of Biology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research has focused on protein folding, misfolding, and aggregation, with particular attention to conditions like cataracts. He has also explored bacteriophage structure and assembly. Currently, he works to protect the conditions needed to support biomedical research, including advocating for federal investment in biomedical research through the NIH and NSF budgets. He chairs the Reducing the Threat of Nuclear War Conference and the Nuclear Disarmament Working Group of Mass Peace Action. Professor King is no longer accepting students.
