Matthew Vander Heiden is a Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, affiliated with the Department of Biology. He serves as the Lester Wolfe Professor of Molecular Biology and Director of the Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research. His research focuses on the role of cell metabolism in mammalian physiology, particularly in cancer, examining how metabolic pathways support cell proliferation and how this knowledge can be translated into novel cancer therapies.
