About
Regular biography

Chris A. Kaiser is an Amgen Professor of Biology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, affiliated with the Department of Biology. His research focuses on protein folding and intracellular trafficking, particularly in the yeast S. cerevisiae. His work explores the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) and Golgi mechanisms, including quality control and membrane protein sorting. Kaiser's lab combined genetic, biochemical, and cell biological methods to study these processes. He is no longer accepting students. His research has been published in several journals, including the Journal of Cell Biology and Molecular Biology of the Cell.
