Regular biography
Lindsay Case is an Assistant Professor of Biology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Department of BIO. She is a Fellow and studies how molecules are concentrated and organized at the plasma membrane to regulate transmembrane signaling. Her research focuses on the spatial organization of signaling molecules at the plasma membrane and how this regulation is disrupted in diseases like cancer. Case uses quantitative experimental approaches from biochemistry, molecular biophysics, and cell biology to investigate transmembrane signaling pathways. She has received several awards, including the NSF Career Award, Searle Scholar, NIH Director's New Innovator Award, AFOSR Young Investigator Award, Brown-Goldstein Award, and Damon Runyon-Dale F. Frey Breakthrough Scientist award.
