Regular biography
Alexander Squires is a Lecturer in Economics at The University of Manchester, Department of Economics. His research interests include applied microeconometrics and public economics. He is also Programme Co-Director of the BSc Economics degree and an organiser of the Northern Economics Network. Squires is actively involved in teaching and scholarship, focusing on transitions between college/sixth form and university, the use of technology in large group teaching, and interactive small group teaching. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Economics from The University of Manchester, awarded in 2020.
