Abhishek Chakravarty

Abhishek Chakravarty is a Senior Lecturer in Economics at the University of Manchester, Department of Economics. His research focuses on applied microeconomics and development economics, with particular emphasis on gender inequality, policy evaluation, and intra-household resource allocation in developing countries. He joined the University of Manchester after serving as Lecturer (Assistant Professor) of Economics at the University of Essex from 2011 to 2016. Chakravarty holds a PhD in Economics from University College London, awarded in 2012.
