Daniel Rigby

Daniel Rigby is a Professor of Economics at The University of Manchester, affiliated with the ECON department. His research focuses on applied microeconomics, with particular emphasis on food, agriculture, environment, and health. He specializes in survey design and the analysis of data using methods such as Discrete Choice Experiments and Best Worst Scaling. Rigby's work explores topics including preference elicitation, economic valuation, and the economics of foodborne illness. He has been an External Examiner at several institutions and is an adjunct Professor at Adelaide University and the University of Western Australia.
