M Emranul Haque

M Emranul Haque is a Senior Lecturer in Macroeconomics at the University of Manchester, Department of Economics. His research focuses on macroeconomics, economic development, and growth. Haque holds a Masters degree from the University of Dhaka and a PhD from the University of Manchester. Prior to joining Manchester in 2005, he served as a Research Fellow at the University of Nottingham (2003–2005), a Lecturer and ESRC Postdoctoral Fellow at Manchester (2001–2003), and a Lecturer at Bangladesh Open University (1996–1998). His research interests include economic growth, poverty trap, government spending, public financing, corruption, governance, human capital, and trade liberalization.
