Indranil Dutta

Dr. Indranil Dutta is a Senior Lecturer in Economics at The University of Manchester, Department of ECON. His research focuses on development economics, poverty, inequality, governance, and conflict. Dutta holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Riverside and an M.A. in Economics from Delhi School of Economics, India. He has previously taught at the University of Sheffield and the University of East Anglia. His work contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 1, 2, 3, 8, 10, and 16. His research interests include quantitative development economics and applied welfare economics, with a focus on well-being, deprivation, and distribution.
