Ron Chan

Ron Chan is a Senior Lecturer in Environmental Economics at The University of Manchester, Department of ECON. His research focuses on environmental and energy economics, empirical industrial organization, and international trade. Chan's work examines the economic impacts of air pollution, energy transition, and climate change. He joined The University of Manchester in 2014 after obtaining his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Maryland. His research contributes to several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, including affordable and clean energy, climate action, and partnerships for the goals. Chan teaches Energy Economics and Policy at the undergraduate level.
