Ralf Becker is a Professor of Economics at The University of Manchester, Department of Economics. His research interests include econometrics and financial econometrics, with a focus on utilizing high-frequency data for forecasting variance-covariance matrices and analyzing wholesale electricity prices, particularly in Australia. He is also engaged in evaluating educational innovations such as flipped tutorials and peer-assisted learning. Becker has contributed to various research outputs, including articles in Econometrics and the Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control. He is currently the Deputy Head of Department with responsibility for Teaching and an Executive Group Member of the Economics Network.
