Sir Christopher Pissarides is the Regius Professor of Economics at the London School of Economics and Political Science, affiliated with the Department of Economics. His research focuses on macroeconomics of labour markets, structural change, economic growth, technology, and jobs. He is a Programme Leader for the CFM Labour Markets Programme and the CFM Unemployment Levels after a Severe Crisis and Long-Term Prospects Programme. His work is associated with the LSE Growth Commission and the Centre for Finance and Macroeconomics.
