Oana-Maria Camburu is an Assistant Professor in Machine Learning at the Department of Computing, Imperial College London. Her research focuses on Natural Language Processing, Visual-Textual Applications, Explainability, Chain-of-Thought, Medical Applications, Safe AI, and Alignment. She works on measuring and improving the faithfulness of Chain-of-Thought to support scalable oversight and end-user applications, such as in medical contexts. Camburu previously held a Principal Research Fellow position at University College London and obtained her PhD from the University of Oxford. She is also affiliated with Google and MIT through internships and visiting student experiences.
