Professor Andrew Davison is a Professor of Robot Vision at the Department of Computing, Imperial College London. His research focuses on computer vision, robotics, Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping (SLAM), and augmented reality. He is known for pioneering SLAM with vision, particularly through the MonoSLAM algorithm in 2003, which enabled real-time, drift-free SLAM from a single camera.
