Regular biography
Enrico Celestino Colón is a Ph.D. student in mathematics at Harvard University, affiliated with the Department of Mathematics. He is advised by Peter Kronheimer and previously earned his B.S. in mathematics from MIT, where he was advised by Tom Mrowka. His research interests include low-dimensional topology, with a focus on applications of knot theory to the study of 3- and 4-manifolds and categorified link invariants. Colón is supported by a Harvard Graduate Prize Fellowship and is affiliated with a Simons Collaboration. His work includes joint publications on topics such as Corks equivalent to Fintushel–Stern Surgery and Hamilton Powers of Eulerian Digraphs. He also engages in teaching and outreach, including leadership roles in mathematical enrichment programs for high school students.
