Jeremy Stein

Jeremy Stein is the Moise Y. Safra Professor of Economics On Leave at Harvard University, Department of Economics. His research spans behavioral finance, corporate investment, financial regulation, and monetary policy. He has served on the editorial boards of several economics and finance journals and was previously co-editor of the Quarterly Journal of Economics and the Journal of Economic Perspectives. Stein has held various academic and administrative roles, including at MIT and Harvard Business School. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research. He also served in the Obama Administration as a senior advisor to the Treasury Secretary and on the staff of the National Economic Council.
