Regular biography
Wyatt Hurt is a Fellow at Harvard University's Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology. He serves as Curriculum and Pedagogy Manager and Preceptor in Chemistry and Chemical Biology. Hurt collaborates with faculty and instructional staff to develop course administration, management, and student support infrastructures for all undergraduate chemistry courses. Previously, he taught chemistry at Chelsea High School and Belmont Hill School. He received an A.B. in environmental science from Harvard College and an Ed.M. in science education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Hurt has been awarded the Certificate of Excellence in Teaching by the Harvard Derek Bok Center for Teaching and Learning and the Sontag Prize for Teaching Excellence by the Massachusetts Department of Education. He is also a First-Year Proctor at Harvard College and resides in Hurlbut Hall. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, running, cooking, and playing piano.
