Regular biography
Matthew Lueckheide is a Fellow at Harvard University in the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology. He received a B.A. in Chemistry from Skidmore College in 2017 and a Ph.D. in Synthetic Inorganic Chemistry from Brown University in 2022. His doctoral research focused on kinetic and mechanistic studies of rare-earth metal-assisted reduction of dioxygen to produce novel metal peroxides or hydrogen peroxide. At Brown, he was awarded the W.T. King Prize for Outstanding Teaching Assistant, Elaine B. Chase Award for Service and Leadership, and a 2022 Deans’ Faculty Fellowship. After completing his doctorate, he served as a visiting lecturer at Brown before joining Harvard University's Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology.
