Regular biography
Prof. Nick Cox is a Professor at The Australian National University, affiliated with the Department of CHEM. His research focuses on the study of biological enzymes and synthetic catalysts using magneto-optical spectroscopy and magnetic resonance techniques, particularly Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) to transition metal cofactors and its application to new synthetic enzymes and heterogeneous catalysts. He is an ARC Future Fellow and a member of the Research School of Chemistry. Prof. Cox was formerly a Group Leader at the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Energy Conversion and has received the ICMRBS Founders Medal and the Sir Paul Callaghan Medal.
