Naresh Verma
Regular biography
Naresh Verma is a fellow at the Australian National University's Research School of Biology. His research focuses on bacterial and bacteriophage genetics, as well as vaccine development. Verma completed his PhD at the University of Sydney's Department of Microbiology and conducted postdoctoral research at the Karolinska Institute in Sweden and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute at Stanford University. He joined ANU after five years of postdoctoral training and was admitted as a fellow of the Australian Society for Microbiology in 2005. His work includes studies on Shigella flexneri, bacteriophages, and vaccine design, with numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals.
