Barry Pogson

Barry Pogson is a Fellow at The Australian National University (ANU), affiliated with the Research School of Biology. His research focuses on the communication between the chloroplast and nucleus, including the discovery of genes and metabolites involved in epigenetics, RNA metabolism, chloroplast-nuclear signaling, carotenoid biosynthesis, photosynthesis, and drought. His work is a key component of the ARC Centre of Excellence in Plant Energy Biology. Pogson is also the Executive Chair (PSBA) and Deputy Director of the Centre. His research program integrates molecular and biochemical techniques with whole plant physiology to study gene-to-crop interactions.
