Regular biography
Jichun Xie is an Associate Professor of Biostatistics & Bioinformatics at Duke University, affiliated with the Department of MATH. Their research focuses on computational methods for analyzing biological data, particularly in the context of cellular senescence and cancer immunology. Dr. Xie's work includes developing novel algorithms for single-cell and spatial transcriptomics, such as DeepScence, which aids in identifying senescent cells. They are also involved in training programs that integrate bioinformatics with cancer immunology and microbiome research. Dr. Xie's contributions span both academic research and educational initiatives within the Duke Cancer Institute.
